| Restructuring for Success |

AIMS is aiming for success. We’ve identified what we need to be successful by taking an insightful look into our past performances, have set new goals, and are progressing each day toward making those goals achievable.
Teachers are administering diagnostic testing (NWEA tests) and will use the data to focus teaching and learning. This will mean personalized instruction for all students. Teachers call it differentiating instruction for all levels. It means grouping within a class to better address skill deficiencies, and to enable underachieving students to catch up.
Teachers will engage in specific professional development all year to enable them to learn new strategies for improvement, and energized meaningful curriculum for all students. School administrators and the School Level Restructuring Team (SLRT) will focus on the classroom, acting as the support system for teachers and students. Engaged administrators and teachers will result in engaged learning for students.

The school district will support AIMS restructuring efforts by providing essential resources including support personnel and the District Level Restructuring Team (DLRT) that are essential to move the restructuring process forward.
The After School Academy will be another focused effort for improvement, in which teachers will not only, refer underachieving students , but plan focused instruction to help them improve.
Parents are to be an integral part of the restructuring effort. They are essential members of the group of people at AIMS with the common goal of educating children. Their input is extremely important to the success of the plans for restructuring AIMS.
