Middle School

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I welcome you to Alexis I. du Pont Middle School (A.I.M.S.).  We are looking forward to an exciting school year in which we may facilitate your maximum growth in meeting your educational goals.  I have spoken to students, parents and teachers and have learned some of their personal educational goals for the coming school year. 

Throughout the 2010/2011 school year, I hope to encourage each student to experience success at A.I.M.S.  Success will be met by following the guiding principles of good citizenship.  These include acting with: integrity, respect, determination, responsibility, curiosity, tolerance and cooperation.  It is important that you work hard every day and strive to become a productive member in the community.  I encourage you to set personal goals while valuing others’ differences.  

The staff will set high expectations for both your academic and behavioral growth.  You will benefit from everything that A. I. du Pont Middle School has to offer by being actively involved in your classes, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.  If you encounter difficulties, I ask that you seek out any of our trained professionals, and we will make every effort to help you.  We are here to help you build the necessary educational foundation that will allow you to reach your full potential during a lifetime of learning.  We welcome the opportunity to help you overcome the often necessary challenges that are important to educational success.  Remember to aim high and trap the power of the tiger!
